Reversed, the Fool asks a harder question: are you leaping from courage, or running from responsibility? Spontaneity and avoidance can look identical from the outside. The reversed Fool is the person who quits without a plan, starts five projects and finishes none, or mistakes impulsivity for authenticity.
At another extreme, the reversed Fool points to paralysis. You want to begin something new, but fear has locked the door. The nagging voice says the timing is wrong, you aren't ready, the world isn't ready โ and so nothing happens. This is the Fool's shadow: infinite potential that never becomes anything at all.
