Planetary Transits
Current planetary positions and their influence on your natal chart.
What is Planetary Transits?
Transits are the current positions of the planets overlaid onto your natal chart. If the natal chart is a "snapshot of the sky at birth," transits are the "living sky right now" and its interaction with your chart.
Transits are the primary method of astrological forecasting. When a transiting planet forms an aspect to a natal planet, specific themes and events are activated.
Fast-moving planets (Moon, Mercury, Venus, Sun) create daily and weekly rhythms. Slow-moving planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) define yearly and decade-long periods of transformation.
How it Works
Transit analysis compares the current planetary positions with your natal chart. When a transiting planet passes through the same sign and degree as a natal planet — or forms an exact aspect to it — the corresponding theme is activated.
For example, transiting Jupiter conjunct natal Venus marks a period of luck in love and finances. Transiting Saturn square natal Sun signals a time of challenge, testing, and maturation.
Orbs for transits are generally narrower than for natal aspects. The duration of influence depends on the planet's speed: the Moon acts for hours, Pluto for years.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do transits differ from a regular horoscope?
A standard horoscope (by Sun sign) describes transits only to the Sun. A personal transit analysis accounts for all planets in your chart — far more precise and informative.
Which transits matter most?
Transits of the outer planets (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) to personal planets and chart angles. Especially significant: the Saturn return (~29 years), Uranus opposition (~42 years), and Pluto transits to the Sun or Moon.
Can you "avoid" a difficult transit?
A transit describes the energetic quality of a period, not a predetermined event. Awareness allows you to channel the energy constructively. For example, a Saturn transit is not a "punishment" — it is an opportunity to build something enduring.
