Full Moon in Scorpio
May 1, 2026
Description
The Full Moon in Scorpio is one of the most intense of the year. Scorpio is the sign of depth, transformation, power, and mystery. When the Moon fills with light in this sign, everything hidden rises to the surface: suppressed emotions, secrets, shadow sides of relationships.
The Taurus-Scorpio axis activated by this full moon relates to values (Taurus) and transformation (Scorpio), ownership and shared resources, pleasure and pain. The Sun in Taurus seeks stability and comfort; the Moon in Scorpio demands honesty, even when truth is uncomfortable.
This is a powerful time for psychological work: therapy, shadow journaling, forgiveness practices. The Scorpionic full moon helps you "die" to the old — release attachments, dependencies, expired patterns. Emotional intensity may be uncomfortable, but it is precisely through this "passing through fire" that deep purification occurs.
Financial matters involving debts, inheritance, joint accounts, and taxes may surface. If there are unresolved financial issues with a partner or family — the full moon will bring them to light.
Recommendations
- Practice "shadow journaling": write down what you usually hide from yourself
- Resolve financial matters related to debts and shared resources
- Practice releasing: what is it time to let go of in your life?
- Engage in deep breathing practices to work with intense emotions
What to Watch Out For
- Do not provoke confrontation — the Scorpionic Moon can make conflict destructive
- Beware of manipulation — both others and your own unconscious attempts to control
